• Cry Detection & De-coder – The monitor will alert you if your baby is crying and even start playing music if you like. The cry de-coder can help you detect which cry means what; hungry, uncomfortable, etc. 
• Face Coverage Detection – The monitor will alert you if it senses that your baby’s face is covered. 
• Smart Music Box – It plays lullabies, pre-recorded sounds, or a two-way radio through which you can talk to your baby. 
• Temperature and Humidity Sensor – Set the temperature and humidity range you would like the room to stay in, and the monitor will alert you if the room is out of your set range. 
• Smart Capture Technology to Take Photos – The pixsee smart baby monitor uses artificial intelligence to capture cute photos of your baby and allows you to create albums to keep or share with friends and family. 
• Area Detection – You can set “safe zones,” and you will be alerted if your child moves out of them. 

You can adjust the settings of these features to best fit your baby’s needs. Keep the features on that you like, and turn the features off that you don’t want. The app is easily adjustable and customizable. 

A baby monitor is one of many nursery must haves, and for a mom who tends to be a little worried or anxious for the first while after having a baby, I needed a good baby monitor. There are quite a few features that the pixsee Smart Baby Camera has that I really enjoy. 

My Favorite Things About pixsee Smart Baby Monitor

1. The Ultra-Wide Lens

Because the camera has such a wide view, it covers the entire crib, so I don’t have to worry about my baby rolling out of sight. 

I can also move it to other spots in the room and monitor the entire room as he gets older and moves into a toddler bed. 

2. The Ability to Minimize the Video On Your Phone

One of my concerns when getting a smart baby monitor was not having the actual handheld monitor to carry around the house. I was worried that if I had to use my phone, I would only be able to see or hear my baby if I had the app open. 

However, the app allows you to minimize the video to a corner of your phone! I love this feature. It allows for you always to see what’s going on but still be able to use your phone as well. 

3. The Night Vision

The night vision on the pixsee monitor is so clear! I use other home security cameras, and the night vision is significantly better on the pixsee monitor. 

4. The Different Options to Display the Monitor

The different options to set up the camera is probably my favorite feature. You have the option to mount the monitor on the wall, or it comes with a stand that allows you to place it over the crib from any side or angle that you like. 

The stand has different height settings and can be placed over the crib or just in the corner of the room to monitor the entire bedroom. 

5. It Takes Photos & Records Video

The pixsee monitor uses artificial intelligence to take photos and record videos of your baby automatically, but you also have the option to use it as a camera and take pictures and videos yourself if you notice your baby is doing something cute and want to capture it. 

It also is constantly recording, so if you need to go back and check what time your baby fell asleep, you can just look back at the footage. It shows you the last 24 hours. 

6. Multiple People Can Use The App & Monitor

You can have up to five people use the smart baby monitor with their phones. This is great so that mom and dad can use the monitor on their phones, depending on who is watching the baby. You could also give access to a nanny or babysitter. 

Things to Consider Before Buying the pixsee Smart Baby Monitor

You Have to Have A Smart Phone & Wifi To Use This Monitor

Because of all the high-tech features of this baby monitor, it requires you to have internet and a smartphone to use it. 

This typically isn’t a problem, since most people have internet and smartphones these days. You will have to download the free pixsee app to use the monitor. 

The Set-Up Takes Some Time

With more cool features comes more setup time. It’s not a super lengthy process by any means, but it takes a little longer than just plugging it in and going. First, there are various ways to display the monitor; hanging it or using the stand.

Also, it needs to connect to wifi and be set up through the app. It can seem intimidating if you aren’t very tech-savvy, but it comes with easy-to-read instructions that make it much easier!
