Spread the love

Blogging is one of the ways that I help provide for my family financially while being a stay-at-home mom. Some people like to blog as a hobby, while some have hopes to use blogging for profit.

If you are hoping to earn money from blogging one day, it’s an entirely different strategy than blogging as a hobby!

While I personally do not teach about blogging, I can refer you to my personal favorite pro bloggers who have tons of resources.

Crucial Tips for Starting A Blog You Want to Profit From

1. Buy a Course! It Will Save You Money in the Long Run

You WANT to buy a course. It will save you so much time, money, and stress. If you don’t invest in courses and things, it’s a lot of trial and error. It’s just not worth it.

My Absolute Favorite Courses:

Blog By Number by Suzi Whitford

Long Tail Deep Dive by Jon Dykstra

This is an SEO course designed for beginners to help them write content that will rank on google early on. SEO is an essential element to blogging that you do not want to put off. Take it from someone who did, and regrets it completely.

2. Don’t spend time on things that don’t have a good ROI

This is one of my biggest regrets. Don’t spend time on things that aren’t worth it. People become super fixated on little things that really aren’t worth their time. Stay focused on things that are going to bring in the most profit. A few important things are to write high-quality content, make sure your site is user-friendly, work on building backlinks, choose 1 social media to focus on.

Here are the most important things you need to focus on

1. SEO – writing high-quality content that will rank on google search

2. Pinterest – for most blog niches, Pinterest can be a good source of traffic

3. Product creation – creating your own product or service is an amazing way to make good money

Types of products

  • digital downloads or printables
  • ebooks
  • courses
  • physical products

If you’re looking into getting started blogging for profit, I highly recommend checking out the courses listed above. If you have any more questions or need advice or help to get things set up, feel free to comment below.
