money, save money

Donating Plasma

This is a quick and easy money maker, if you’re not afraid of needles! Plasma is nice because it can make enough money to cover either your groceries, or utilities, or anything! After your initial appointment it usually only takes about an hour. Most centers allow you to go up to twice a week. Some centers even have free daycares!

Work in a Daycare

This is such a great way to make money as a mother. You get to make extra money, take your kids with you, and socialize with other adults! There are traditional daycares that children attend on a regular, full-time basis. Or there are other forms of daycares that are more in and out type. A lot of places have started doing this, like Ikea, or plasma donation centers, or a lot of gyms have daycares. I personally worked in a gym and I loved the free membership that came with working there!

Babysitting/In-Home Childcare

If you truly want to stay at home, taking on some additional children to watch is a great idea. You can do it informally, or you can go to the lengths of getting state certified. Then you can charge more and people might trust it a little more because it’s regulated by the state.

You can also nanny/babysit for another family in their home. This is a great way of getting out of the house, and still making some extra money while your kids make friends.

Start a Blog

Blogging is such a great way to make money from home. You get to write about what you love, work however much you want, from anywhere in the world. It’s so exciting to start something from scratch and build it up into something that is producing a great income. It’s so satisfying.

But, blogging takes A LOT of work. It takes commitment, and sacrifice… but if you get to the point where you’re making $10K or more a month from home, eventually spending very little time a day… It’s worth it! And those aren’t unrealistic numbers… I see it every day! If you are interested in starting a blog, I suggest checking out this blogging for beginners course. It is super affordable, and it has all of the information you will need for setting up your blog, getting started on writing content, promoting your blog through social media, and how to get started making money.

Make and Sell Items–Start an Etsy Shop

This is a fun job if you enjoy being crafty. A lot of people love to make their own products and sell them online. A really good place for this is Etsy.com. Some popular items are baby accessories such as headbands, clothes, pacifier clips, hair bows, etc. Women’s accessories are also pretty popular. I have a friend who is into graphic design, and she offers business cards, logo design, and a ton of templates. Crafts are also super common, such as watercolor paintings, home décor, and much more! There’s something for everyone. If I had any more time in my day I would love to have an Etsy shop!

DIY and Flipping

This has started to become a very popular way of making money. There are so many consignment stores now that are flooding with things that can be flipped. Lots of people make money refinishing furniture, or making some cute home decor. I’ve even known people who go find name brand clothing at consignment stores and sell them online and make a large profit. Walk through any Walmart, I bet you will find so many things you look at and think, “I could make that, heck I could make something better than that!” If you’re crafty, this is a good way to make money with a small investment!

Utilize a Skill you can turn into a Work from Home Career

There are so many skills that people possess that they can turn into a career from home. Some women attend cosmetology school and offer beauty services out of their home. If you’re great at typing, you can try transcribing. Or if you have a good understanding of social media, you can be a social media manager or a virtual assistant for a company.

Another really common job people have started doing from home is teaching English online to Chinese children. Some companies require a degree, but some don’t. The payout is pretty good, too!

Youtube Channel

There are a lot of Youtubers/Vloggers that make some really good money! If you have a particular skill, or an interesting life, start recording! This is a slow moving way to make an income, but it can pay off really well if you keep working at it. Videos are so popular now, people enjoy watching videos/tutorials more than reading an article.

You can also do a combination, where you write a blog and add in your videos and promote your youtube videos. That way you can channel some traffic from Google, different social platforms, and youtube!

MLM/Network Marketing

Network marketing usually consists of signing up with a company and selling their products. You often sign up underneath someone, and build a team yourself and earn commissions on everyone’s sales that are under you. MLM’s can be difficult to be successful in, but the people who do succeed often do really well!

There are so many different multilevel marketing companies out there to choose from. If you can find something you’re passionate about, it will make it much easier to promote the products.
